Australian Motor Racing History

The Australian Postal Service has issued six new racing stamps on the 27th of February 2002. The name of this new issue is "Australian Motor Racing History" and they come in se-tenant block of 6. The stamps present milesstones in Australian motor racing history. Each of the stamps is described as follows:

TOP LEFT - 1928 Phillip Island, Victoria, Austin 7 and Bugatti Type 40 tourer - the first Australian Grand Prix.
TOP CENTER- 1963 Mallala, South Australia, Bob Jane's Jaguar Mark II - Australian Touring Car Championship.
TOP RIGHT - 1966 Sandown, Victoria, Jack Brabham's Repco-Brabham - Tasman Series.
BOTTOM LEFT - 1972 Bathurst, New South Wales, Peter Brock's Holden Torana XU1 and John French's Ford Falcon X Y GTHO - Hardie-Ferodo 500.
BOTTOM CENTER - 1980 Calder, Victoria, Alan Jones' Williams FW07 Ford- Australian Grand Prix.
BOTTOM RIGHT - 2001 Albert Park, Victoria, the Benetton-Renault-2001 Australian Grand Prix.
The stamps can be purchase as a single se-tenant block of 6, Booklet of 10, Roll of 100, strip of 6, Book of 20 Booklets of 10, Set of first day covers (gummed, self-adhesive), First day cover (gummed) or First day cover (self-adhesive), Stamp pack, Collector pack, or Gutter strip of 10 with racing flags printed in gutter. The size of the each stamp is 37.5 x 26 mm. Perforation size is 13.86 x 14.6, and the printing process is Lithography.
