Living Shells - Cocos Islands

Australia Postal Service will issue four new stamps that have postage values of 50 Cents, $1.00 and $1.45 named "Living Shells - Cocos Islands" on the 20th of March 2007. The four stamps depict 4 different types of Living shells found in the Cocos Islands. But these four shells, are only a fraction of the total number known to be near these islands. Each shell depicted on the stamps is listed below:

  • Oriental Moonsnail 50 Cents (Top Left)
  • Pearly Nautilus 50 Cents (Top Right)
  • Partridge Tun $1.00
  • Giant Clam $1.45
"Living Shells - Cocos Islands" stamps can be purchased as a set of 4, Sheets of 50, or FDC. The size of each stamp is 37.5mm x 26mm with a Perforation size of 13.86 x 14.6 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by SEP Sprint using the Lithography Printing process with Tullis Russell paper.
