Beach Volleyball

The Aland Finland Postal Service will issue a new stamp that has a postage value of 0.90 Euro named "Beach Volleyball" on the 16th of August 2011. This new stamp is part of the My Stamp series informing the public that they can create a stamp with an image of their choice. The image can then be place within the official My Stamp frame and then use like ordinary stamps.
This stamp is also being issued to remind the public about the forth edition of the beach volleyball tournament Paf Open being held in Aland. The event is hosted at the Arkipelag Arena in the town of Mariehamn. Paf Open draws the very best world class players from all over the world and is broadcasted internationally. The players are competing for 380,000 US dollars of prize money and points for the World Championships and Olympic Games.

"Beach Volleyball" stamp can be purchased as a single, sheet of 8, or FDC. The size of the stamp is 29mm x 42mm with a stamp perforation of 13 using the 2cm reference. The sheet size is 145mm x 105mm. They were printed by Joh. Enschede using the 4 color offset printing process with 135gsm paper.
