Picotrial Art, Tove Jansson Aland Postal Service will issue a new stamp that has a postage value of 0.85 Euro named "Pictorial Art, Tove Jansson" on the 18th of April 2007. The stamp depicts a relatively unknown painting done by the famous artist Tove Jansson. A count named Goran Akerhielm hired Tove Jansson to create this painting which he hung above a mantelpiece in his large house on the island of Kallskar. The house is now part of a well know tourist attractions of Kokar. Tove Jansson is a well know Finland-Swedish author and artist who created a fascinating world for children and adults with her moominnovels. These moominnovels have now been translated into 35 different languages and distributed all over the world. "Pictorial Art, Tove Jansson" stamps can be purchased as a single stamp, Sheets of 2 x 16, Gutter pair strip, or FDC. The size of each stamp is 31.75mm x 36.51mm with a Perforation size of 13 using the 2cm reference. They will be printed by Cartor Security Printing using the offset printing process with 110gsm paper. A quantity of 300,000 will be issued.
