LEEWARD ISLANDS

Leeward Islands was made up of a group of small British colonies. The colonies consisted of Antigua, Montserrat, St. Christopher, Nevis, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, and Dominica. Each of these colonies issued Leeward Islands stamps and its own stamps. Leeward Islands issued stamps until 1956 when it was abolished. Most of these small colonies are now independent and issue their own stamps only. An example of a Leeward Islands stamps is as follows:
